I've completed one full week back in the UK after my holiday to Malta, it's been a busy week in my 9-5 office job (boo) and just as busy a weekend (yay).  Once this post is up I think it'll be an early night for me!

The post holiday blues.  If you check out my Malta Tag you'll see that I regularly visit the Mediterranean islands of Gozo and Malta, to see family and have some quality time away from it all.  We had the best time, chilling out, relaxing on the beach, eating and drinking lots - just generally taking it easy in the sun!  I'm planning a series of blog posts to share with you guys, however if you want to check out what we got up to, or see a bit of these beautiful islands, check out my instagram page for lots of lovely pictures!  Despite it being an incredibly relaxing holiday, the cold British weather and a busy few days at work soon brought on the post holiday blues!  A crappy week was topped off with a disappointing meal out at a local pizzeria, which we visited to celebrate the start of the weekend.  We've been there a few times and always really enjoyed it, but the service was appalling - just not what we needed when suffering with post holiday blues!

Catching up with old friends.  Well not to dwell on the negatives, the weather picked up in the UK at the weekend, and so did things for me!  On Saturday morning I had the most lovely catch up with a friend and her little boy - it was crazy as we hadn't seen each other in about a year!  We had a fab time enjoying the sunshine at the park... The good thing about catching up with good friends after such a long time is that it never feels like you've been parted that long once you get chatting!

Family time.  Saturday afternoon played host to a a lovely family party.  We had a mini celebration for the wedding of my cousin and his new wife, who had a gorgeous intimate wedding away from it all in the Lake District.  Needless to say, the bubbly was flowing and a few of us were a little tired this morning to say the least!  Today was definitely slower paced, with more family time enjoying what might be the last of the summer sun.  We vegged out in the beer garden of a local pub, but that chill time was broken up for me to film the dreaded Ice Bucket Challenge!!  My donation went to the MND Association - the UK equivalent of the ASL charity in the US.

End of the week chill out.  I love having fun packed weekends, they're definitely what keep me smiling, but I did managed to squeeze in some serious relaxation time.  Having recently bought a new home one of my favourite things to do is leaf through a home decor magazine, with a nice hot drink by my side.  Living etc. is my current favourite magazine, I feel it's one of the most modern and fashionable in the UK market, and I'm obsessed with hot water and lemon at the moment - tasty and good for you!  On the topic of what is good for you, I NEED to get back into healthy eating and exercise after my holiday!  I decided Sunday was the day to start (who says you have to wait until Monday?!), to me nothing is better than yummy Greek salad when the sun is shining!

No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover Beauty Blog Review

No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover

I feel like I've already reviewed the No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover on my blog, it's such as a staple skincare product for me that surely I would have already posted it about it... evidently not, so here you are!

At £8.50 from Boots the No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover doesn't break the bank but it's definitely not the cheapest eye make-up remover either, I've repeatedly repurchased this product because it simply does its job so well!

A mixture of two oily substances the No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover needs some vigorous shaking before use, but once nicely mixed a splash on a cotton wool is all you need to melt away your mascara etc. with little need to rub your delicate eye area.  The oily consistency to the product leaves the area around your eyes feeling soft and conditioned, a slight oily residue remains but that soon soaks in, if you were to leave it - however I always follow up with a different cleanser in order to remove all traces of make-up from the rest of my face.

If you've tried the No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover do let me know what you think in the comments below.

So you made it all the way to the text in this incredibly photo heavy post!  Well done!  And sorry the photos aren't the best... all taken on the iPhone!

In June I spent a week in Northumberland to celebrate the marriage of two wonderful friends.  The week was full of lots of fun, food, laughter, day trips to local landmarks, wedding preparations and finally post wedding wind downs!

We stayed the week in Seahouses, on the coast by the Farne Islands.  Seahouses was the perfect spot for our day trips out to the pretty town of Alnwick, the historical Bamburgh Castle and impressive Lindisfarne Castle, but of course very close to the fabulous Newton Hall - the venue on the special day!

Just have a think about one of the most fun places you could ever eat, well Alnwick Castle has a restaurant in the biggest treehouse you've ever seen!  And the food was pretty good too!... Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.  We had so much fun on the beach at Bamburgh, which has to be one of the prettiest beaches in the UK, the sand dunes are just incredible - though I did ruin my little Primark pumps wondering over them!  Oh well, it's good job those shoes were cheap!  I have to say the Holy Island was a bit like a retirement centre, but a pretty one at least!  The views to and from Lindisfarne are just stunning!

My friends wedding was amazing, she looked a-ma-zing, and the venue was amazing.  Everyone had so much fun!  I wore a little skirt and top combo from Warehouse, but I don't think it's in stores anymore.  Sorry!  After the wedding, once we'd recovered from our hangovers - with the aid of curry, a few of us went on a boat trip over to the Farne Islands (Staple Island - I think).  What an experience!  It was nesting season so we spent the whole trip running from extremely violent, dive-bombing birds!  But we didn't stop laughing the whole time - and even managed to pop a bottle of bubbly on the boat to celebrate a wonderful wedding and wonderful week!

If you know the area, do let me know your experience of Northumberland in the comment section below.  I would love to hear any stories or trips you've made there!
