Once again I found myself drooling over the e-pages of the net-a-porter magazine. I absolutely love the elegance and simplicity of their Jewel Tones feature, a perfect way to continue the much loved summer brights trends into autumn... which, if you're based the UK, you'll know has pretty much already arrived!

To be brutally honest, I've only ever been to Matalan about 3 times in the past.  With it not being conveniently located on a highstreet it's somewhere that never crosses my mind to shop.  Yesterday however I tagged along with the boyfriend when he decided to go, for underwear!

Drop Stone Charm Bracelet 50p (Sale)  //  Silver 3 Blue Stone Tiered Ring £5  //  Claw Drop Earrings 50p (Sale)  //  Multi Bead  Bracelets  £4  //  Turquoise Semi-Precious Charm Bracelet 50p (Sale)  //  Coral Stacked Rings 50p (Sale)

There was a sale on, which took over most of the store.  I'm guessing it had been on a while as, to be honest, I didn't find much I liked.  What was left was, well.... bleh!  Clothes-wise, all I picked up was a basic striped T.  Nice enough.

What I did find though was great cheap jewellery!  I picked up a few bits for 50p each!  Bargain!  My fave pieces were the silver & blue stone ring (arty / Monica Vinader ring inspired anyone?), the dainty charm bracelet with blue drop charm and the claw drop earrings (Betsey Johnson / Missoma inspired).

A worthwhile trip out, with minimal money spent.  I'm not sure how often I'll go back to Matalan though... not very often I'd think, for some reason it feels like your going of way to get there.  However I'm sure I'll enjoy it the few times I do!

Is Matalan somewhere you often shop?

And here's what I wore...

T-Shirt:  Forever 21
Blazer:  Zara
Ring:  Boots

I seem to have been eating Krispy Kreme's non stop this week!  Work got some in and my boyfriend also bought a box!  They're yum but I think I've had my fill for the next year!  //  The pictures of the barge and lilies were taken on my lunch break, decided to take a walk down the canal in Leeds.  Lovely.  //  A well earned beer and catch up reading blogs on Friday night, after another busy week at work.  //  My face when I discovered the lovely Laura, aka Lollipop26 had started following my blog!  My boyfriend was driving at the time and I have to say I let out a bit of a squeal...  I'm surprised he didn't crash!  //  Had a lovely day out yesterday with some friends, walking passed some very pretty fields on the way to a pub it was easy to forget we were still in Leeds!

I hope you've all had a good week, and even better weekend!

I got two new bags recently, and oh how I love them!

Lollipop26 is back, and inspiring us all once again now that she's blogging on buy now, blog later.  After she bought more than a couple focco bag's, I was sufficiently jealous enough to head on over to her recommended eBay store and get myself in on the action!  I've featured this bag already on my blog but I wanted to get you guys a bit more up close and personal, as I love this bag!  I actually wanted the grey one (still do!) but it was sold out for so long, I just couldn't wait any longer that I went ahead and bought the black!  It's my new favourite bag. I been wearing it every day since it was delivered and you can literally fit your whole world in it!  An absolute bargain at roughly £34!

Speaking of bargains, my mum also picked up this stunning Fiorelli bag for me on one of her charity shop trips.  I follow a few bloggers who would love to do a charity shop spree with my mum, few could rival her when it comes to amazing charity shop finds!  This bag is brand spanking new and I think my mum paid around £10, amazing price for a Fiorelli.  This retro, croc-effect style bag has been done by so many of the big designers, Jimmy Choo and Marc Jacobs, that it will forever be a classic piece.  Perfect for work, and everything else!

Bags! Bags! Bags!  Whoop! :)
