The January Glossybox has arrived!  And this month it's Valentine's themed!  I love the hot pink box, which although is not as 'glossy' as last months box, it's an absolutely stunning colour, perfect for the occasion and has had lot's of praise throughout the blog world!  It would be amazing if the Glossy team stuck with this box for a while.

We all know how amazing the December box was, so there's more than likely going to be a bit of a lull after.  I'd seen a few posts already from the girls who receive their boxes a little earlier and I have to say I didn't have the highest of hopes for this months products. However even though there's no wow product for me, and despite there being one serious dud (I'm thinking an error!), I actually think that I'll use up everything I received in this months Glossybox!

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner:  I've tried a few things from this brand in the past and enjoyed every one of them.  I got the colour 'Powder Pink' and although I prefer the quality and pigment of Benefits Eye Bright, a similar product, this a really great staple to have in your make-up bag.  One thing I'm not crazy about is the extra long handle... Eyeko have tried to sell this as a handy tool for sharpening the pencil to the 'tiniest nub', but I just see it is as taking up too much extra space in my make-up bag!  Oh well!

FAB Body Moisturiser:  (and a not a body wash as the Glossy product list stated!) For some reason my sample looks like it's been through a war, covered in a tonne of scratches!  I'm not overly keen on the smell of this moisturiser but it's faint enough to not to cause any great offence.  The moisturiser itself is nice a light, perfect for travelling with!

Murad Dewy Finish Skin Perfecting Primer:  A brand that I've never heard of, and I was slightly disappointed as I got a primer in last months box.  However I was plesently surprised when I saw that this primer was tinted. I don't think a 'dewy finish' is particularly necessary for my oily skin, but I'm looking forward to giving this product a go nevertheless!

Clarins Extra Firming Day & Night Cream:  I was really pleased see some Clarins products in my box, thinking here is definitely something I'll be using up!  However this is where the dud came in, the Day Cream I received didn't have the foil cover on like the Night version and seems nearly empty! Looking on facebook I don't seem to be the only one to have received a seemingly half used product either!  I mean what's going on?  Was this out a tester at one of the Glossy events or something?  I'm definitely going to be writing to the Glossy Team to let them know... let me know in the comments if you received anything similar.

Are you subscribed to Glossybox or any other subscription beauty box?  Let me know what you think of this months or any other box you've received.

I've had a really lazy day today, Chris has gone snowboarding in France so I'm home alone!  Whaah!  I've cleared the laundry basket, watched some True Blood etc. etc.  I'm going out tonight so didn't want to be too shabby while lazing about, this grey-silver sparkly sweater from Zara is perfect for that.  Especially paired with some ink jeans and rose-bronze knotted chain necklace!  I got quite a bit of love on instagram for my nails yesterday.  I was bored after applying the Ciate paint pot in My Fair Lady, a really pretty neutral, perfect for a french manicure, but I wanted to add a little extra.  I think the little crosses on my ring fingers have done just the trick!

It's my mum's birthday today!  I just wanted to say a big happy birthday to her!  My parents are visiting my sister and niece on the beautiful island of Gozo at the moment, I'm very jealous!  Enjoy the rest of your holiday mum!

I hope you all have had a great weekend!  I'm going to have a busy week at work this week  :(  I hope you all have a lot more of a chilled one!

Not being an owner of either the Urban Decay Naked nor Naked 2 palette, I snatched up this NYX Nude on Nude set when I found it when rummaging through the make-up section at TK Maxx just before Christmas!  Not only was it the only one left in the store without a single grubby finger mark in it, it was an absolute steal at just £14.99!

The set contains an impressive 20 eyeshadows, enough to keep any neutrals fan going for some time!  Along with a nice variety of shades from nude to vibrant in the 10 lip colours, hidden away in a second compartment!

As I've noticed with other palettes recently (read my review of the Sleek Au Naturel palette here), the lighter matte colours have very little pigment to them and even a bit of fall out, there could definitely do with being fewer of them.  However the shimmers are stunning, perfect for highlighting and the darker colours have great pigmentation.  The colours have got the most use out of are the bronzes and gold, these have turned into my absolute go to eyeshadows!

I think the packaging is fab, really sturdy and as the set contains so many colours, an even some lip colours, it's perfect for traveling.  I've mentioned before that I'm not a massive lipstick wearer, however these are so conveniently to hand and nicely moisturising that I've found slicking on a quick layer of the nude or peach tones after finishing my eye make-up!

I think Nude on Nude was a great buy but I know TK Maxx can be a hit and miss with what's supplied store to store in the beauty sections, so I doubt you'll be able to find it now.  If you do fancy getting this palette though, it is available on the NYX online store.

I just wanted to post a quick Outfit Post to let you all know I'm still alive!  Since getting back from from France I've been pretty busy at work, and pretty obsessed with the True Blood series on my Kindle... seriously, my Kindle is my favourite thing right now!  The True Blood books are so trashy, I love them!

This was just a simple outfit I wore for a night out over Christmas / New Year, I'm loving electric blue at the moment and I love teaming it with gold accessories.  This dress was just a nice cheap and cheerful skater style dress from H&M, it's been around the blogger circuit a few times now!  I'm not convinced that the bright red lip thing suits me, after years of resisting I thought I'd give it a go, but think I'll stick with neutral in future!

Well I've got quite a few posts lined up, I just hope I get the time to get them posted on a regular basis!  In the meantime let me know what you're reading.  I'm just about to start A Game of Thrones but need some ideas for when that's finished!

Just a quick post to say Happy New Year!  And share a few instagram pictures from my night welcoming in 2012!  I went to a really great house party in Leeds with some wonderful friends!  It was a little unsurprising that I spent the first day of 2012 feeling a little worse for wear!

The party spread.  Yum!  //  Fancy dress!  //  Sparklers and fireworks!  //  Pattern of the Primark dress I wore.

I hope you all had a fabulous and safe New Year.  I wish all my followers the best for 2012!
