OUTFIT: Monte Carlo Casino Square

Neon Dress Fashion Blogger

I loved nothing more on my recent road trip than getting dressed up in the brightest dress possible, to spend a beautiful sunny day in Casino square, Monaco.  This Topshop dress caught my eye on the sale rack about a week before I left for my holiday, and I couldn't resist!  I was a bit apprehensive it would be one of thsoe pieces that, despite loving it, would never get worn.  I'm so happy I was wrong!  Yeah the bright neon orange attracted a few double glances in the street, but I feel that the colour really complemented my skin tone, and that the dress works really well on a hot sunny day as well as a night out!

After a quick stop at the beach to take some sun in the morning, the majority of our second day in Monaco was spent enjoying the sights of Monte Carlo and Casino Square.  The grandeur, scenery and architecture of the famous mountain ringed square is out of this world, though only just manages to outshine all the amazingly fancy cars!  We enjoyed some very tasty, but pretty expensive cocktails in the Buddha Bar at the side of the Casino, before heading back to the harbour for dinner where we were lucky enough to catch the annual Monte Carlo International Fireworks Festival!  The display was one of the best I've ever seen, and lasted ages.  Bonus!

  2. I just bought this dress! I love lace so much and I'd had my eye on it for a while hoping they'd bring out versions in more subtle colours, but when I saw it in the sale I bought it instantly. I really love it. I'm considering wearing it to a family wedding next week with either nude or gold heels and belt, but I'm not too sure about the brightness of the colour on a gloomy scottish day, I'm slightly worried it might stand out too much! You look great in this dress, and your holiday looks fantastic!
