My Best Dressed: The Grammys 2011
L-R: Miley Cyrus, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez, Miranda Leigh Lambert |
The invites to this years Grammy Awards must have stated dress code: metallics, golds, silvers, glitz... and no matter their style, the celebs certainly let it shine!
I have to say that Miley Cyrus was probably my favourite of the night. In Roberto Cavalli, she pulled off glamour with an almost rock twist on this seasons safari trend. The metallic tiger print really stood out from the rest of the glitz and glitter on the red carpet.
Heidi Klum looked amazing -as usual- in this 70's inspired Julien Macdonald gown, paired with a gorgeous pair of platforms (not pictured) to complement the genre. Showing off her still amazing figure, Heidi showed that she could outshine all the other gold dresses on the evening.
One of my all time favourite A-listers, Jennifer Lopez also deserved a mention on my best dressed list. I have to admit that the cut of this Emilio Pucci dress isn't my absolute favourite from the night, however the detailing is stunning and it successfully acted as the statement piece required to show that J-Lo still has what it takes to steal the show ...and those studded Christian Louboutin are amazing!
Finally from the metallics range is the George Chakra dress worn by Miranda Lambert. I've never heard of Miranda before, maybe it's because I live in the UK, but I really like this dress and think it successfully brings the futristic-techno trend to the red carpet (is it just me or does this dress remind you of star treck?!)
The best of the rest...
I think that Julianne Hough looked lovely, and very 'now', in this layered and brightly coloured Malandrini gown. Seeing this dress made really want to be out drinking cocktails on a warm summers evening!
What did you think of the outfits from the Grammys? Let me know your thoughts on these dresses or if there were any others that you loved and I didn't mention.
